A model worth emulating

Aga Khani community in Pakistan and the institutions run by the community are the perfect exemplary model

KARACHI: The Aga Khani community in Pakistan and the institutions run by the community are the perfect exemplary model of how a welfare state should be organised and function. The community is one of the most educated and cultured communities in Pakistan, with state-of-the-art institutions like Aga Khan Hospital and the Aga Khan education board serving the masses without discrimination. On micro level, other communities can adopt the same model and embark upon the journey to long-term community development and progress.

On macro level, the government can emulate initiatives to introduce similar models and initiate community empowerment. Also, Aga Khan education board has one of the most competitive educational systems in Pakistan. The government should adopt a similar curriculum as that of the aforementioned.
