According to the Rawalpindi District Election Commissioner, arrangements for the drive have been finalized and efforts would be made to complete the verification campaign by January 7.
At the moment, there are 2.95 million voters registered in the Rawalpindi district including 1.57 million men and 1.37 women.
As many as 29 Assistant Registration Officers and 2,221 verification officers have been assigned the task.
Sources told APP that after completing the first phase of the drive, the verified voter's lists would be displayed at display centres set up at prominent places in the district for around a month, from January 8 to February 6.
Objections on voter lists can be submitted during until February 16. The final lists will be displayed on April 10 at the office of District Election Commissioner.
