These projects included rehabilitation of 2.75-kilometere-long Shabbir Usmani Road from Jinnah Hospital Chowk Maulana Shoukat Ali Road to Y-Junction Barkat Market in New Garden Town at a cost of Rs134.5 million.
There will also be the construction of a flyover at Shaukat Khanum intersection to facilitate 200,000 vehicles on a daily basis. Other initiatives include the remodelling and improvement of U-turns on Khayaban-e-Jinnah and construction of four pedestrian bridges on main boulevard Johar Town at a cost of Rs947.3 million.
Road signs along Canal Bank Road, from Doctor’s Hospital to Mughalpura underpass, will be installed for a sum of Rs200 million.
Projects include the remodelling of Doongi Ground and MM Alam Road through better landscape, constructing entrance arcade and providing central entertainment areas at a cost of Rs110 million.
A sum of Rs100.5 million will be spent on the rehabilitation and improvement of Noor Jehan Road from Hussain Chowk to Liberty Gulberg Roundabout.
