Clean and green: ‘Villages cleanliness drive to be completed by 20th’

The commissioner expressed these views while monitoring the work on drive

MULTAN: Commissioner Multan Division Bilal Ahmad Butt has said cleanliness at 117 village union councils of Multan district under clean village drive would be completed by December 20.

The commissioner expressed these views while monitoring the work on cleanliness drive under CM Clean Village Programme. He said Punjab Chief Minister Shebaz Sharif has given historical package under Clean Village Programme and Rs2.5 million funds were being given to UC chairmen. He said the programme would prove to be a milestone while special prizes will be offered to five top districts of the province.

Butt said latest cleanliness system has been introduced for villages under this programme. He directed the authorities to create awareness among people at all UCs about cleanliness.

He said that neat and clean environment will be provided to masses according to the vision of the Punjab chief minister.
