ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform directed the Ministry of Planning on Thursday to install a 660MW regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) power plant in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The committee, chaired by Abdul Majeed Khan, met to discuss the 1200MW RLNG-based power plants in Baloki and Haveli Bahadurshah. The representative of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government requested the committee to direct the federal government to finance the 660MW RLNG-based Combined Cycle Power from the Federal Public Sector Development Programme along with RLNG Transmission Pipeline and Power Evacuation Systems.
