According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the search operation was conducted in Nagrosa area near Sheikhan village of the agency.

“During the operation, four caves, three compounds and an abandoned IED-making factory were cleared,” said ISPR in a statement.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition, hidden by terrorists, was also recovered, including hand-grenades and IEDs.

Earlier in June this year, security forces had seized a huge cache of weapons and ammunition during various intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out in parts of Khyber Agency.

Operation Radd-ul-fasaad was launched after a series of deadly bombings across the country killed over 100 people in February 2017. This is overall 11th military operation launched in the country since 2007 when the country adopted a comprehensive strategy to deal with terrorism.
