Looks like everything has been settled between Amir Khan's family and his wife Faryal Makhdoom. The latter, who was rumoured to have fallen out with his parents after they disapproved of her Western dressing, now says Amir's appearance in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Outta Here has brought the family together.

Faryal, who is five months pregnant, usually comes over to the family’s house to watch the TV show every evening, with the couple’s three-year-old daughter Lamaisah, reports Daily Mail.

I'm glad Amir is on TV so people can see the real him: Faryal Makhdoom

“Faryal comes over to the house and we sit down as a family and watch the show together. Of course, it’s been nice for the family to bond again," Amir's father, Shah reportedly said. “Like every family we have ups and downs. If someone says they don't, I think they’re lying. You’ve got to work through it and try to iron everything out and move on."

“Lamaisah cheering him on and missing him a lot and I think that Amir is missing her a lot too. We keep saying to her, ‘Lamaisah, where’s daddy?’" added Shah. To this, Faryal added, "It’s really funny; I don’t think she knows what it is but she says it. A lot of people don’t realise Amir is a down to earth family man. The family is so proud of him too. We’re all on the edge of our seats watching him because we know he’s so frightened of snakes.”

It's official: Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom back together

The reconciliation comes after Faryal, 26, and Amir, 30, who married four years ago, split briefly in the summer after a public Twitter spat.

Amir first hinted at trouble when he said his family had moved out of the house next to his in Bolton. As it escalated, Faryal went public with posts accusing her parents-in-law of trying to wreck her marriage.

Amir’s mother Falek said she was lying. “I once told her, ‘Faryal, do not wear these types of clothes. Wear a scarf.’ But she paid no heed so I stopped. It was Amir’s duty to tell her that.”
