Humaima Malick sizzles in latest song of 'Arth - The Destination'

Star gets a shout out from her favourite Bollywood director and the man himeslf behind the classic film, Mahesh Bhatt

Humaima Malick is definitely a firecracker! The starlet proves that effortlessly chic in her latest song, Aadat from her upcoming venture, Arth - The Destination, which also stars Shaan Shahid, Uzma Hasan and Mohib Mirza in titular roles.

Composed by Sahir Ali Bagga, and sung by Sana Zulfiqar, the track portrays Humaima as the diva that she is.


With apt dance moves, and perfect sultry expressions, the Bol star shows exactly why everyone should take a page or two on how to perform item numbers with grace from her book! (We're eyeing you, Sadaf Kanwal!)

Malick also gets a shout out from her favourite Bollywood director and the man behind the classic himself, Mahesh Bhatt. The Murder director took to Twitter and lauded the starlet. He wrote, "Humaima dazzles ! She has class."

However, previously talking to The Express Tribune, the Dekh Magar Pyaar Se star asserted, “I don’t only do item numbers that entertain. I can cry, I can do romance and I can make people laugh.”

Her Pakistani venture Arth 2 — a film that’s quite close to her heart — is nearing release. The film will see Malick play a role inspired by Smita Patel’s character from the original Mahesh Bhatt film.

Bhatt had written Patel’s role after taking cue from his personal relations with Bollywood diva Parveen Babi.

“I’ve given so much to the Parveen Babi character. It takes a lot to give a performance like that,” Malick said, adding, “I believe that an actor who gives their best to a project should be doing one film a year and that’s what I’ve been doing.”

“You cannot exactly study acting. You’re either born with it or you don’t have it in you,” alleged Humaima while elucidating the hitches and hurdles she had to endure on her journey to finally making it into the film industry.

Arth - The Destination hits the theatres on December 21.
