LAHORE: A member of the treasury benches demanded the government ban the sale of toy guns at all shops across the province.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) legislator Hina Pervez Butt made the demand through her resolution submitted in the Punjab Assembly on Saturday.

In her resolution, she said that there was a dire need to launch an operation against those who are manufacturing or selling the toy guns. It was not good for the children’ innocent minds to play with toy guns, she added.

Therefore, a complete ban should be imposed on the manufacturing, import and sale of toy guns. She also requested parents not to buy their children toy guns. The government with the help of the district administration should impose a ban on the sale of toy guns, she said.
