ISLAMABAD: Although it is a chapter from the past, former US president Barak Obama put the controversy to rest forever that the Pakistani government had no clue of Osama Bin Laden’s presence in its territory. The former president’s statement is likely to add authenticity to the claims of the Pakistani administration of it being non-partisan towards terrorist groups.
The US conducted an operation that killed Osama Bin Laden back in May 2011 and the operation raised tough questions over Pakistan’s ability to maintain its sovereignty. While at the same time, it earned the government massive criticism for being unable to get hold of the most sought-after terrorist.
