Bahria Town to build interchange on M-9 Motorway

Real estate developer to bear entire construction cost

Real estate developer Bahria Town will construct an interchange on the M-9 Motorway. It entered into an agreement with the Frontier Works Organisation and its subsidiary, the Superhighway Construction Operation and Rehabilitation Engineering for the construction of an interchange at the Bahria Town scheme on the M-9 Motorway. Bahria Town will bear the cost of construction of this mega project, which is estimated at millions of rupees.

Bahria Town Chairperson Malik Riaz and Bahria Town South VCE Zain Malik were present at the signing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Riaz said the agreement was another step by Bahria Town towards fulfilling its promise to deliver world class housing societies with facilities and infrastructure on a par with the modern world. The development of the interchange and related infrastructure works at Bahria Town will considerably improve the quality of life and ease of conveyance of the residents of Karachi.

Bahria Town will construct an entry and exit plaza comprising two bridges, three underpasses and a causeway. In addition, these structures will be complimented by a network of slip roads and approach and exit ramps. This infrastructure will complement the state-of-the-art road network within Bahria Town, which also features the 400-feet-wide 18-lane Jinnah Avenue, which is inspired by Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.



Work on the M-9 Interchange and its related structures is due to commence immediately upon completion of the necessary regulatory approvals.

The complex will allow the general public to easily access the amenities, comforts, entertainments recreation facilities and the modern style of development that Bahria Town Karachi has to offer.

Recently, Bahria Town developed a flyover and underpass in Clifton entirely at its own cost. Further, Bahria Town also undertook to clean up garbage in the city.
