Bollywood star Sunny Leone, who adopted a 21-month-old girl from an orphanage in Mumbai, India earlier this year, has said she’s clear that Nisha will know she has been adopted.

"Nothing will remain a secret for Nisha," Leone told Deccan Chronicle in a recent interview. "Yes! Indeed we have to disclose this fact to her."

"Right from the adoption papers and every minute things we have of her, will be shown to her," the actor said.

"I am not her real mom. But I am connected to her soul. I am her mom after adopting her."

Leone also revealed how she and her husband adopted the girl. "One day, while we visited this orphanage, I just told Daniel [her husband], let's adopt a baby girl...Daniel immediately consented to my opinion. I was rather shocked but happy as well."

The actor told IANS, "Nisha is the best gift I could ask for. She is so beautiful and amazing. From being in a foster home to coming home with us, she has been adjusting to her new life, it's so amazing."

Leone is one of India's most searched celebrities online. She has often been accused in India of promoting obscenity and eroding cultural values.
