The 32nd Pakistan International Tennis Federation (ITF) Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championship 2017 came to a successful conclusion at the PLTA Tennis Academy in Lahore.
More than 40 players, including four from neighbouring India, participated in seven different age categories, ranging from 35 to 60 years in the six-day long tournament.

In the singles event, Shahzad Khan secured victory in the 35-year-old category by beating Ashar Ali Khan (6-3, 6-1), whereas in the 45-year-old category, Pakistan’s Rashid Ahmad Malik defeated countrymen Jahanzeb Khan 6-1, 6-3.
In the doubles event, Irfanullah Khan and Shahzad Khan clinched glory in the 35-year-old category, whereas Khawaja Khurram Iftikhar and Asad Niyaz beat Rao Iftikhar and Zahid Mehmood with the score line 6-3, 3-6 and 10-6.

While talking to the Express Tribune, Khurram Iftikhar expressed his delight after an impressive win, and reveals his future plans as well. “We are delighted to say the least,” said Khurram. “Our target is to go to different tournaments all over the world and continue what we are doing right now.”
