A 17-year-old boy has been found guilty for plotting an ISIS-inspired 'lone-wolf' terrorist attack a few months ago at a Justin Bieber concert held in Cardiff, reported Daily Mail.

The teenager declared himself as an ISIS soldier and penned down a 'martyrdom letter' before planning a massacre at the venue. He had collected security information of the venue a few days before the concert took place.

The British teenager was also planning to target the Cardiff Castle and had conducted searches by the phrases, 'Cardiff terrorist attack,' 'how to create a terror attack,' and 'how to pledge allegiance to ISIS.'

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on June 30 from his house in South Wales. He was found in possession of a claw hammer and kitchen knife along with the martyrdom letter.

The letter read, 'I am a soldier of the Islamic State. I have attacked Cardiff today because your government keeps bombing in Syria and Iraq. There will be more attacks in the future.

Another note found in his bag also included details of 'how to run down non-believers with a car,' with special instructions like 'strike the infidels who oppose Allah in the neck.'

The teenager denied committing any acts of terrorism, including posting photos on Instagram that encouraged terrorism and the possession of holding terrorist information.

Following a two-week trial, the jury at Birmingham Crown Court found him guilty.

Matthew Brook, the prosecutor at the trial said, "His interest in suicide evolved over time to commit a suicide attack in the name of Islam. The defendant told the police in his interview that he had been conversing with someone called Al Baghdadi over Instagram. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the leader of ISIS."

He added, "The boy also searched for phrases such as '17 year old Jihad', Holy War, 'car ploughs through a crowd,' and 'Castle quarter, Cardiff' on Google Maps."

The court also heard that the boy had uploaded an image of Cardiff Castle with a caption, "Cardiff are you prepared?" along with a picture of a jeep, knife and a bomb.

Another image encouraging terrorism was captioned, 'Oh my Islamic state brothers you are the role models of these worlds. The attack on Cardiff will be deadly. May the infidels be hit by vehicles and in the name of Allah may the blood be shed of non-believers. Stop bombing the homeland, Theresa May. May Allah bring terrorism to Cardiff on June 30, 2017.'

Brook further stated, "The defendant searched 'Justin Bieber Cardiff 2017' and 'Justin Bieber Cardiff security' a few days before the Justin Bieber concert, which shows that the defendant was interested in what security will be like on the day."

He continued, "This is in context of all his terrorist searches, his threats on Instagram about Cardiff being attacked, the knife and hammer in his bag, and the martyrdom letter as well. The defendant has had an unhealthy interest in terrorism for months before his arrest. He has been preparing for a lone-wolf style attack, which involved him attacking innocent by-standers with a knife and hammer."

The teenager's sentence will be announced at the same court on January 10, 2018.
