Lawyers supporting dictators being promoted: Asma Jehangir

President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Asma Jehangir on Tuesday alleged that lawyers who supported military dictators were being promoted to the post of judges.

Jehangir said that this kind of behavior was discouraging for competent candidates and also expressed concern over no judges being appointed from Lahore.

She said that the lawyers’ movement had not been carried out to support a few judges, but was there to affirm the supremacy of the constitution.

Jehangir also said that the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case reference was a positive sign and it would ensure supremacy of the judiciary.

Member from Blochistan do not full fill the requirement of the Constitution, Article 175[A] , So It is Absolute Illegal and Against the Constitution. But Chodhry Iftekhar [ Proved a Complete Chodhry] is maintaining his Friendship like any Chodhry . As in past Appointment of Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was done because he is SON of LAW of Justice Naseem Han Shah . This is our Independent judiciary , Independence of all Ethics, Biased & Collusive . Let us pray for the Aggrieved Nation, Ruled by such Chodhries .

Beside Edhi I cannot think of any other name so respectable than Asma J. Not just Pakistanis but the whole world is proud of you. Please keep up the good work. The Lords of ego need constructive criticism and direction. These men are too self absorbed in their political agenda. Thanks for people like you to help democracy and human rights. Mirza, USA
