Farmers to get subsidy
Registered farmers could avail the subsidy for up to 10 acres

Agriculture officials have said that farmers who are engaged in sowing sunflower crop and are registered with the department could apply for a subsidy of Rs5,000 per acre through their cellphones.
An agriculture department spokesperson stated that subsidy worth millions was being extended to farmers on sowing sunflower crop under the Chief Minister’s Kissan Package to improve edible oil production and cut heavy cost on its import. Registered farmers could avail the subsidy for up to 10 acres.
