RAWALPINDI: The groundbreaking ceremony for the Fatima Jinnah Women University Campus-II was held at Chakri Road on Thursday. Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Samina Amin Qadir unveiled the plaque of the campus. Planning and Development Director Ghulam Mujtaba Kayani gave a briefing on the project, stating that the new campus would have two academic blocks, one hostel and an administration block.  The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, he added. Professor Dr Qadir said that the academic blocks would house eight departments including six for science and technology and two for commerce and law. The hostel would have the capacity to house 300 girls. The project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs961 million, she added. The VC added that the Chakri road campus is located around 16 kilometres from the main campus.
