KARACHI: In Pakistan, winters are more than just hot coffees and chai sessions at the local dhaba. It's the season of dholkis, mehndis, baraat, valima and the gazillion family events that follow.

To help you out with your wedding wear this year, we've compiled a set of looks inspired from Bollywood diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

1. Dholki/Mehndi

Dholkis and mehndis are the most playful wedding events. Dancing, singing and a whole lot of fun and games make for a perfect mehndi. That being said, flaunting ghararas and lenghas paired with braids of different styles complete the look. Bright colours such as yellow, shocking pink, orange, lime green and purple are the common favourites for this occasion. The Ki & Ka actor channels some of these looks in the best way possible.

2. Baraat

Aaah, the most important event in any Pakistani girl's life - but who says her sisters and friends can't look gorgeous as well! The baraat usually allows for more embellished looks. From saris to lenghas, you can wear it all. Even go for a bold in black look, like the 37-year-old actor does with sophistication. Or look elegant in grey with a baby bump.

3. Valima

The last event of the festive season, before the grand family parties begin. Neutral hues and updos are the go-to look for valimas. Kareena manages to look effortlessly glamorous with minimal details. You might need royalty to add the finishing touches though.
