The archaeology department in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) has been devolved and placed under the Ministry of Tourism, sources said on Tuesday.

“A notification has been issued to this effect,” said an official in the G-B government, adding that the department, headed by a director and more than 15 staff members will be supervised by the regional government of G-B. After the devolution, the archaeology department will work with sports and culture and will be under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism, he added.

All we can do is a hope and wish to have some people in administration who need to show their commitments , motivation and devotion to their responsibilities for the institutions and Country's wealth.
