'Hate Story 3' star mobbed and nearly 'molested' in public

And while all this abuse occurred, none of the male members of the film team bothered to come forward and help

Bollywood actress Zareen Khan, who made her debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer and garnered appreciation for her power-packed performance in Hate Story 3, recently fell victim to physical harassment. Her upcoming film Aksar 2 was nearing release and hence the star was visiting Delhi to promote her film. And what happened next is beyond shocking…

As per reports, the actress was mobbed and ‘nearly molested’ by strangers at the promotional event. The worst part though? The actress was appalled by the apathy exhibited by the film’s team and the lack of adequate security to protect her from any mishaps that might’ve occurred. Disturbed after the ill-fated incident, the Housefull 2 star decided to take a flight back to Mumbai the same night after wrapping up her formalities.

A source close to Zareen Khan, who was present at the venue in Delhi, told BollywoodLife, “Everything was going well until the last visit. After finishing various promotional activities that required her presence, she reached the last venue for a 15-minute interaction. She was amazed that the organisers of the promotional tour had over-committed her time.”

The source added, “While the cast was sitting and having dinner, Zareen decided to finish her interactions and leave. When she left there was hardly any security. Zareen was mobbed by a crowd of 40-50 people that had gathered at the venue. They were trying to click pictures and forced their cameras in her face. She was almost on the verge of getting molested.”

“And while all this abuse was happening, none of the male members of the film team, that had accompanied her, even bothered to come forward and help,” confessed the source, adding, “The situation was completely out of control. Even though she was very disturbed by this treatment, she still managed to fulfill her commitments and took the late night flight back to Mumbai.”

Zareen has all the reasons to be absolutely disillusioned and disappointed by her film team and Gautam Rode, to allow such a horrific incident to occur. No woman or man deserves such treatment.

Upon being contacted, Zareen Khan revealed, “I was extremely disturbed by their treatment and hence decided to take the late night flight back to Mumbai after fulfilling all my commitments.”

Aksar 2, starring Zareen Khan, Gautam Rode, and Abhinav Shukla in pivotal roles released on November 17.
