Couple involved in car jacking arrested
The Islamabad police on Sunday arrested a couple for allegedly stealing rented cars.
According to the Tarnol Police, Ameer Zaman and his wife Sheeba had booked a Toyota Corolla car (MN-630) from Multan
to Rawalpindi and
were accompanied by the car driver, Muhammad Shan.
Upon their arrival in Rawalpindi, the couple decided to stay in a hotel for the night.
The car driver, Shan, had kept the car keys under his pillow for safekeeping. When he woke up, he found that the couple had taken the keys from under his pillow and fled with the car.
The Tarnol police was informed of the incident, which managed to intercept the car at Jhugi Syedan and arrested the couple.
During initial investigation, the accused, Zaman, confessed of lifting cars from Karachi and later selling them in Swabi.
The police registered a case against the couple.
