Accident: Wedding revellers killed

SAHIWAL: Three people in a wedding party were killed and two were seriously injured in a collision between a speeding car and passenger bus on Sunday.

The incident took place near Chak 227 on Sahwal-Faisalabad Road. The deceased include Naveed Ahmed, Waris Sultan and Shabbir. The injured people have been admitted to the THQ hospital in Samundri in serious condition. According to police officials, the marriage party was heading to Faisalabad from Sahiwal when a car tried to overtake a truck near Chak 227 and collided with a passenger bus. Police have started an investigation and are searching for the bus driver who fled the scene.
