Special Protection: CCPO orders to revisit security plan

Daily report should be sent to PSO and IGP

LAHORE: Punjab Police Inspector General Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan has directed CCPO Lahore, RPOs and DPOs to visit the ongoing CPEC projects of their respective districts with special protection unit officers and revisit the security plan of Chinese experts and investors working in the country. He directed that the security of all worship places including mosques, imam bargahs, churches and A-category educational institutions with co-education in particular should be tightened. He also directed that search, combing and intelligence based operations should be carried out in the vicinity of A-category educational institutions and religious worship places throughout Punjab with the help of CTD for the arrest of terrorists, their facilitators and hardened criminals. He said that a daily report should be sent to PSO and IGP on a regular basis. He added that process of preparation of A and B category list of officers regarding the posting of circle officers and SHOs will be made more transparent and it will be ensured that no competent and eligible police officers are victimised for any personal grudge.
