Cristiano Ronaldo, girlfriend blessed with baby girl

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo announced yesterday that he had become a father for the fourth time after girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to a baby girl, Alana Martina.

“Alana Martina has just been born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great. We are all very happy,” the beaming 32-year-old footballer wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of himself, Rodriguez, his seven-year-old son Cristiano Junior and the new arrival.

Ronaldo is also the father of twins, Eva and Mateo, who were born in June.

At the end of October, the Portuguese star had revealed in a video on social media the name of the child as well as the proposed due date of the baby, initially fixed at November 21.

Ronaldo was on hand for the birth of Alana Martina after being rested by Portugal coach Fernando Santos for friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and the United States during the ongoing international break.

In an interview in July, the soccer superstar confirmed his 22-year-old girlfriend was expecting following speculation.

When asked if he was excited about his next impending arrival, he said, “Yes, very much.”

While the star can do just about everything on a football pitch, he admitted changing nappies is not one of his strengths but he gives it his best shot. Quizzed about how he gets on changing diapers, he replied, “I’m not very skilled at that, but I try.”

Ronaldo is a keen Instagram user and in June, he took to Instagram to show off a picture of himself cradling his twins. He added the caption, “So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life."

Speaking about Eva and Mateo, he recently said: “They are precious, I am delighted. Yes, I am, I’m very happy.”
