Addressing students of a university in Mianwali, Imran said the country's youths were confused and misguided because they felt left behind in comparison with the rest of the world, Express News reported.
“Apparently we are mesmerised by the western culture, but I advise you to not forget your country and identity because painting stripes on a donkey won’t turn it into a zebra,” he added.

The PTI chief urged the students to acquaint themselves with the philosophy of Allama Iqbal, who preached progress through education. “A noble human is one who dreams, but our dreams should not revolve around our own personality,” he advised.
Imran further said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was not striving for his personal goals but his struggle was aimed at achieving a separate country for his people. "Nothing can beat a man with a firm resolve," he added.
“I was also laughed at in the beginning, but I burn my ships before embarking on a mission. The PTI wouldn’t have materialised if I had cut my political journey short and the masses would still be slaves to conventional politicians."
