Marijuana, opium, weapons recovered

Police officials say they were tipped off to the location of the drug den.

GUJRANWALA: Local police have arrested a drug peddler and seized narcotics and illegal weapons from his possession on Thursday.

A police team led by SI Ghulam Shabir raided the hideout of a narcotics dealer Abu Bakar in the area of Lohiyanwala and arrested the accused.

Police officials said they were tipped off to the location of the drug den. The Police seized 7 kilogramme of charas, 500 grams opium, a pistol and Rs60,000 from his possession.
