Environment Pollution: 25 smoke-emitting vehicles fined

FAISALABAD:
Environmental protection department has fined 25 smoke-emitting vehicles in Faisalabad. A spokesperson for the department said that inspectors and field staff checked more than 100 vehicles and found 25 vehicles emitting excessive smoke. The teams imposed a fine of Rs62,000 on the vehicle owners. The officials issued warning that such vehicles would be impounded and their drivers would be arrested if the conditions were not improved.
