SARGODHA: The anti-corruption establishment (ACE) police claimed to have arrested a land revenue official over corruption charges.

The ACE officials said that complainant Sher Zaman, a resident of Mianwali, stated in his complaint that land revenue official Sher Abbas was demanding Rs15,000 bribe for transferring a property.

On the direction of ACE director, Assistant Director Malik Khurram Anwar, under the supervision of Magistrate Hamad Aslam, conducted raid and arrested the accused red-handed, while taking bribe from the complainant.

Meanwhile, the police arrested 29 criminals and seized narcotics from their possession.

The staff of different police stations conducted raids within their precincts and arrested 29 drug pushers. The police also confiscated 8.310 kilogrammes of hashish, 270 liquor bottles and other items.
