Promo video announces Pakistani Haider Farman's fight against Indian Atif

MMA fighter will take on counterpart from neighbouring country on November 17

KARACHI: What sets apart the best mixed martial arts promotions over the good ones is their ability to sell fights.

Without a backstory, without a dramatic narration of the rivalry, piquing the fans' interest is almost impossible.

This is why the UFC regularly asks master narrator Anthony Bourdain to lend his growly baritone of a voice to their pre-event promos, which works like a charm when it comes to getting people excited for fights.

Brave Combat Federation, a Middle East-based MMA promotion, recently released one such promo for the benefit of their "Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions" event, set to take place in Bahrain on November 17.

The promo may not be UFC quality, but it is as close as anything has gotten in a long time. Certainly no one in the Middle East or even the Asian circuit has put so much effort into promos before.

Kudos to the brave folks for the promo as well as for making a Pakistan versus India fight that would see Haider Farman take on Atif Mohammed Khadim.
