“The hatred, anger and words of the judges will constitute dark history,” he said speaking to the media after the hearing.
His tirade against the judges came after Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed his petition for reviewing the verdict.
Sharif tried to fool the nation: SC
“He ]Sharif] tried to fool the people inside and outside Parliament. He even tried to fool the court without realising that ‘you can fool all the people for some of the time, some of the people all the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time’. Refuge in evasive, equivocal and non-committal replies does not always help,” says the 23-page judgment authored by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan on the dismissal of the review petitions filed by Nawaz, his children, and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
However, the deseated prime minister said, during his hearing at the accountability court, that he was not given the right to a fair trial whereas all allegations against him were also baseless.
Earlier today, Nawaz, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar appeared before the court to hear the judgement against the clubbing of references filed against the Sharif family. The court dismissed the application stating that “for each reference, there will be a trial”.
The accountability court formally indicted former premier Nawaz Sharif in all the three NAB references cases.
