CDA cracks down on encroachment in Blue Area

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Directorate of Enforcement carried out an operation against encroachment in the posh Blue Area of the capital on Tuesday.

During the operation, several illegal installations erected for security and other encroachment set up in front of different plazas were razed.

The operation was supervised by Director Enforcement Taj Warsi while Director Roads, senior special magistrate, officers of concerned formations and a heavy contingent of Islamabad police also participated in the operation.

The joint operation was conducted in front of different plazas in Blue Area during which barriers and iron fences were removed.

Similarly, an illegally constructed scanning room was demolished apart from removing two security barriers installed illegally in front of ISE tower while two security cabins placed illegally in front of Saudi Pak Tower were also removed. A shanty hotel, three containers and other encroachment were also removed with the help of an excavator.
