Russian involvement in US elections

Russian trolls weren’t unbiased towards the US elections proves the US intelligence as wrong

KARACHI: The fact that the Russian trolls weren’t unbiased towards the US elections proves the propositions put forward by the US intelligence as wrong. The Facebook ads from a Russian troll imply that the Russian propaganda campaign of 2016 didn’t favour either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in many instances. At different point of times, it went against both the final presidential election candidates and was often directed at the general American neglect towards matters of global concern.

This directly negates previous US intelligence community assessments, which asserted that the campaign ordered by the Russian president was directed at undermining the public image of the former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, while promoting a positive image of the Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Further, the social network ads placed by an online trolling outlet, in a subtle way backed both the white and the black nationalist causes and issues. The ads mostly targeted Clinton before the presidential selection and during the campaigning for the presidential run but shifted their focus to Trump once he became the president. Despite the undeniable similarity among the ads placed and various allegations brought forward, no evidence, concrete enough, has been found so far, that fully proves Russian involvement in influencing the presidential elections of the US in 2016.
