ST LUCIA: West Indies have been fined for a slow over rate during Thursday's seven-run victory over Pakistan in a Twenty20 match, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Friday.

Darren Sammy's new-look side were ruled to be one over short of their target at the end of the match, with time allowances having been taken into consideration.

In accordance with the ICC's code of conduct regulations, each member of the West Indies team will be fined 10 per cent of their match fees and Captain Sammy fined by 20 per cent.

West Indies host Pakistan on Saturday at the same venue in St Lucia for the first one-day international in a five-match series.
