Pakistan wants good ties with the US, based on mutual respect: Khawaja Asif

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan wants “good relations” with the United States based on “mutual respect”, Radio Pakistan reported.

In an interview with a private news channel, he said Pakistan has rendered a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism. “India is involved in human rights violations and killing of innocent Kashmiris in occupied-Kashmir,” he added.



Asif also said Pakistan will continue to extend its “political, moral, and diplomatic support” to the struggle for Kashmiris and their right to self-determination. To a question, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said the present government will complete its constitutional tenure and the next general election will be held on time.

He also said PML-N is a big political party of the country and holds majority in parliament, and that the economy of the country is improving due to the prudent policies of the PML-N government.



He said that allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif have not been proven.
