Fazil Colony, Khushab resident Nasim Akhtar, was attacked and stabbed by her husband Muhammad Riaz and his brother Huq Nawaz and succumbed to her injuries.
Khushab police registered a case against Muhammad Riaz and Haq Nawaz on the application of Nasim’s older brother Shahbaz Khan.
According to police officials, Nasim fled the district with a youth 20 days ago but her family took her in and provided the couple shelter.
Nasim’s husband refused to give her a divorce and shot her in a market place on Friday afternoon.
Nasim was taken to the DHQ Hospital in Khushab and was later shifted to DHQ Hospital Joharabad where she succumbed to her injuries. Police officials have filed a case.
