Fans laud Gigi Hadid for defending the hijab

On Tuesday, New York City witnessed yet another terror attack, which injured dozens of people and left eight dead.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid recently shut down an Islamophobic tweet made by investigative journalist Laura Loomer.

On Wednesday, Loomer commented on the aftermath of the attack by sharing an image of women wearing hijabs and wrote, "Muslims are out in full force at the scene of the NYC #ISIS attack today rubbing it in everyone's face. Aimlessly walking around in hijabs."

Loomer didn't stop there and continued to tweet, "You'd think they'd have the decency to not walk around in hijabs @ cross street of the attack. But they don't. I bet they're loving this."

Hadid, understandably, wasn't happy with Loomer's remarks and let her have it.

The model tweeted, "Laura, I hate to give you the attention, but I need to tell you- You're a f**king moron."

Loomer retweeted the model's reply and also replied back by writing, "Every verified liberal in Hollywood & MSM is tweeting at me today. I guess I really pissed them off! . It's not like I killed 8 ppl..."
