Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has said Balochistan is an attractive region in terms of investment.

Talking to a delegation of elders, businessmen, traders and others here on Wednesday, Nawab Sanaullah said, “after the return of peace, Balochistan’s importance had increased tremendously in economic terms.”

He said the situation has gotten brighter for large-scale investment in the province, especially in the Makran coast, including Gwadar and its surrounding fishing stations.

“Emerging Balochistan is visible to all where radical changes have occurred,” the chief minister told the visitors. He said political allies of PML-N are proud of the positive changes that have improved prospects for the province.

He advised the visitors to participate in the process of economic development for the benefit of people.

All Balochistan residents are patriotic, says Zehri

“The government would ensure their participation in the future CPEC projects and schemes,” the CM said. The delegates raised the issue of water shortage and other difficulties. Zehri assured them that the problems would be addressed.

Zehri also visited Karwat, a neighbourhood of Gwadar, where a desalination plant was under construction for more than a decade. The officials briefed the CM on the project. He directed them to complete the plant at the earliest.

According to another report, the Chief Minister was also briefed on Gwadar Smart City Project. The CM directed the officials to complete all the projects on the western route of CPEC. He directed the officials to complete the Technical Training Centre in Gwadar.

The CM was confident that Balochistan could play a pivotal role in the economic development of Pakistan. He said Sui gas has been an important source of energy that underpinned economic development since the 1950s.

Zehri categorically announced that Balochistan, through CPEC and Gwadar Port, is ready to offer connectivity with landlocked countries of the region and meeting their future development needs. He said CPEC can meet the trade requirements of the entire region.
