“Since PML-N [Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz] is a democratic party, I can also express my opinion. I am not aware of any decision [taken in the recent London meeting] about not to give any policy statement on behalf of the party,” Maryam said while rejecting media reports claiming that the party had restricted Hamza and her on passing statements.
Maryam, the political heir apparent to Nawaz Sharif, said only leadership can issue statements about the policy of the party.

The former first daughter said she is rarely reprimanded by her father Sharif who was disqualified by the Supreme Court over hiding asset details in the nomination papers for 2013 elections.
Meanwhile, an important meeting of the ruling party chaired by her at Jati Umra, the residence of Sharifs, reviewed the preparations and strategy for the next year’s general elections.
According to the party sources, Maryam advised for effective campaigning in the 2018 elections.
They also said she would visit all the divisions and districts of Punjab, starting from southern Punjab. She has resolved to complete her campaigns before April next year.
