MULTAN: Three people belonging to a family died after consuming the toxic tea in Jahanian on Wednesday.
A Rescue 1122 official said Shahid, Naseem Bibi and Shehnaz Bibi, residents of Chak No 48/10-R, died after consuming toxic brew. Meanwhile, another member of the family, Asif was shifted to Nishtar Hospital in critical condition. Police was investigating the incident.
Toxic chemicals lace fruits, vegetables
A man was killed in a road accident near Naagshah Chowk. Rescue officials said Nazeer Hussain, 45, a resident of Multan, and his brother Muhammad Hussain, 42, were riding a motorcycle when a speedy tractor-trolley hit them. As a result, Nazeer was killed on the spot, while his brother suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, District Regional Transport Authority (RTA) impounded 17 vehicles for creating pollution during an anti-smog operation in the city.

Officials said the RTA team conducted raids at entry and exit points of the city and impounded 17 vehicles for emitting smoke which was causing air pollution and smog.
