Ali Zafar rocks at first-ever concert in Gwadar
To commemorate Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day, the Pakistan Motor Rally 2017 organised by the Pakistan Army successfully concluded with a star-studded event in Gwadar last night.
Enthralling over 20,000 fans, it was a night to remember. Showcasing his rockstar skills and resonating the echoes of his swoon-worthy voice in an unlikely location, Ali Zafar seems to be the Pakistani icon our country has been yearning for.
Leading names of the country also joined the Teefa In Trouble superstar.
Singing sensation Atif Aslam and iconic artist Akhtar Chinar were also present - creating fan frenzy with their power-packed live performances.
Originating from Khunjerab Pass, passing through Gilgit, Islamabad, South Waziristan, Quetta and Karachi, the rally culminated at Gwadar, having covered a total distance of more than 3,000 km. It included over 300 jeeps, 500 bikes and 150 vintage cars drawn from 23 motor clubs. The celebrations aimed to spread a positive message of Pakistan to the rest of the world.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS affirmed that the occurence of such events in areas once affected by terrorism speak for results of the national sacrifices and efforts to bring back peace and normalcy.
“Such events will promote adventure sports, showcase tourism potential and cultural heritage of the country,” he stated, as quoted by the military’s media wing.
