The National Accountability Bureau, Lahore, has reopened cases pertaining to assets beyond means against Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi.

Issuing summons to both party leaders, NAB has asked Chaudhry Shujaat and Pervaiz Elahi to come to the bureau’s Lahore office on November 6 and submit details of their assets, Express News reported.

'Rulers should not cry over economy'

It is pertinent to note that the cases had been taken up by the court during General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s rule but were later closed.

Last month, both the leaders had said that national economy and security were an integral part of each other; therefore, the rulers need not cry over defects being pointed out in the economy.
