Social Media has truly changed the world. While many argue that it brings more bad than good, we're sure these celebrities would disagree with that notion.

Some stars connected with co-celebs through Twitter and Instagram whilst others went on to date their fans. Here are seven celebrities who can thank social media for helping them find love. Who would have thought?

Ariana Grande and Jai Brooks

It was back in 2012 when Jai tweeted the ‘Dangerous Woman’ and went on to create a YouTube video explaining why they should date.

Allegedly, it was Ariana's mother who noticed the video and asked her daughter to give Jai a chance.

The Side to Side singer took her mother’s advice and ended up dating Jai on-and-off for two years, after officially splitting in 2014.

Ariana Grande and Mac Miller

Rapper Mac Miller contacted Ariana on social media also in 2012 by sliding into her DMs on Instagram and wishing her a 'Happy Thanksgiving' and suggesting they do a duet together.

The two went on to record My Way and eventually became a couple in 2016.

Calvin Harris and Rita Ora

Social media seems to have played a massive role in this relationship. Record producer Calvin Harris and singer Rita Ora started and ended their romance on Twitter.

They exchanged many tweets before becoming a couple in 2013. The pair dated for a year before breaking up over a Twitter feud.

The pair went on to date and eventually got engaged before Nick decided to cheat on Iggy and get someone else pregnant. Their relationship ended in June 2016.

Naya Rivera and Big Sean

American actress Naya Rivera made the first move by following the rapper on Twitter. However, it was actually Big Sean who sparked the conversation by expressing his admiration for the Glee star.

"I followed him and then he sent me a little message saying 'I'm a fan,'" Naya told People magazine. "We went to dinner, and the rest is history."

Red carpet: The bold, the glamourous

Although their relationship flourished into an engagement, the pair never made it down the aisle.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa

Amber Rose didn’t waste any time in contacting Wiz Khalifa after the rapper revealed in an interview that she was his celebrity crush. The model tweeted Wiz after which they started dating.

The two fell in love, got married and eventually had a child, Sebastian together. However, it wasn’t a happily-ever-after ending for this couple as they called it quits in June 2016.

Conversely, the pair were seen together earlier this at the pre-Grammys party, where they even shared a kiss. This, unsurprisingly, led to growing rumours regarding their patch-up but Amber made their situation clear in a now deleted Instagram post.

Kim angry with Kanye over Amber Rose

"Wiz and I are family and we will be family for the rest of our lives for Sebastian," Rose wrote. "We've been through hell and back so a kiss on the lips for a photo and a night out of fun is not a big deal for either of us, we are in a great place but we are very much still divorced and not together." Amber wrote.

Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith

A Walk to Remember actress Mandy Moore has openly thanked Instagram for introducing her to her now fiancé Taylor Goldsmith, the frontman of Dawes.

"I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram,” Mandy told PEOPLE. "Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé!"
