Football: Rafael returns to boost United

LONDON: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Rafael da Silva’s return to fitness. The defender will be returning to the squad for today’s match against Everton with Darren Fletcher also returning to training after a seven-week absence. Rafael suffered a hamstring injury in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final victory over Chelsea. Meanwhile, Fletcher, who was out of action due to a virus, could be ready to feature in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Schalke on May 4.
