KOHAT: Ulema of different sects on Monday have assured of maintaining peace and tolerance in Kohat during the Chehlum of Imam Hussain. They gave the assurance during a meeting held at the DC office. The district administration of Kohat on Monday urged the Ulema of all sects to help it maintain peace and tranquillity during the Chehlum of Imam Hussain. “The religious scholars should foil the designs of the enemies of peace and anti-social elements,” Kohat Deputy Commissioner Khalid Ilyas said during a meeting of Ulema belonging to different sects at his office. Tehsil Nazim Kohat Malik Taimur, DPO Kohat Javed Iqbal, AC Kohat Gul Bano and Ulema from different sects were present during the meeting. He also asked the members of peace committees to make sure their presence at the prescribed places where police and officials of district administration would also be present to assist them.
