Toxic emissions: Alternative factory fuels causing respiratory disease
Punjab Environment Protection Minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz gave this directive to Agriculture Department in a meeting on Thursday. She directed the department to check all the districts through field staff and inform the assistant commissioners about violations.

The minister asked the DCOs to hold meetings with concerned departments daily on the issue and send report to Punjab chief minister for taking strict action against absent officers.
