Hours after Faisal Edhi, son of legendary philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, revealed that certain political figures are trying to grab their welfare foundation’s lands in Sindh, Pakistanis took to social media to show their support.

“The land mafia and district administration – including police – are stopping the Edhi Foundation from delivering humanitarian services in several districts of the province,” Faisal had said during a press conference on Wednesday.

He was speaking at a news conference in Karachi where his mother and window of Edhi, Bilqees Edhi, was also present. The Edhi Welfare Centre in Thatta has been occupied by the land mafia and police, Faisal claimed, adding that the district administration has closed the centre to cover up the land grab.

People were upset to hear Edhi's plight, the world largest ambulance service and welfare organisation working in Pakistan for the underprivileged.

Some said that Pakistanis don’t deserve Edhi’s services given what the legendary philanthropist’s son is going through.
