Deepika Padukone is all set to take the regal role of Queen Padmavati in her upcoming venture Padmavati, which also stars Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji as titular protagonists.



After a power-packed trailer, which made quite a buzz in showbiz industry and we were all swooning for Ranveer's menace avatar, Padmavati's latest song, Ghoomar (a dance form of Rajasthan) is all about elegance and royalty which features Deepika in her most graceful avatar yet.

'Ghoomar' is a dance performed on all auspicious occasions by Rajput women. Deepika is essaying the role of Rani Padmavati who was married to Rawal Ratan Singh of Rajput clan.

'Ghoomar' is a dance form which is performed by a new bride welcomed in her new home after marriage. The song is presumably set after Deepika and Shahid get married in the movie.
