ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has widened the scope of its ongoing taxpayer outreach programme by reaching out to the management of Parco and members and office-bearers of OICCI with a view to creating awareness of tax obligations of the taxpayers.

FBR banks heavily on withholding taxes to meet revenue target

The contacts are being made as part of a countrywide exercise to reach more than 50 large public and private sector organisations for roping in their support for the FBR’s drive for filing of income tax returns, which expires on October 31, 2017, a statement issued on Tuesday said. In order to improve the number of tax return filers and create awareness about the advantages of filing returns, FBR Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) Member Nausheen Javaid Amjad visited Karachi and held separate meetings with Parco Managing Director Tariq Rizavi as well as members and office-bearers of OICCI.
