Capital police arrest 9 lawbreakers during crackdown

ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Friday arrested nine suspects including two drug pushers and recovered six kilogrammes of hashish, 12 cans of beer and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said. He said that a squad of the Noon police station headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hussain Lasi arrested a drug pusher during special checking near the Old Toll Plaza. The suspect was identified as Jaleel and police recovered six kilogrammes of hashish from his possession.  Separately, officials recovered 12 cans of beer while checking a vehicle (ABV-362) near Rawal Dam Chowk. The car’s driver Usman was arrested and booked. The Industrial area police arrested Tanveer and Abdul Qadir who were suspected to be involved in a dacoity. Officials recovered two 30 bore pistols from them while checking them.
