UVAS ranked among top Asian universities

The QS Ranking system evaluates institutions on 10 different parameters

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore with its history of 135 years of excellence, is now positioned among 301-350 top Asian Universities as per QS Asia University Ranking 2018.

This institution has already been ranked by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad in top 10 universities of Pakistan.

UVAS brings dairy farming to the fore 

The QS Ranking system evaluated the institutions on 10 different parameters including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, staff with PhD, papers per faculty, international faculty, international students, inbound, outbound exchange students citations per paper. Among these parameters, “Staff with PhD” indicated as the strongest one for UVAS globally.

In 2018 edition, UVAS performed among top 71% in the QS Asia University Rankings. Considering there are approximately 11,900 universities regionally, this makes University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore one of the top 2.5% universities in Asia. UVAS Vice Chancellor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha congratulated the faculty and staff on this brilliant achievement and appreciated the efforts of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Director Dr Dawar Hameed Mughal and his team for this achievement. He voiced hope that UVAS would continue its journey of progress and development in future as well.

UVAS awards French certificates

Meanwhile, Pasha administered oath to the newly elected office-bearers of the Officer Staff Association (OSA) of the university on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC congratulated the new office-bearers and advised them to work for the welfare and development of the officer staff of the university. He also lauded the effort of UVAS officers and their services.
